Georgia Totto OKeeffe born in a farmhouse (November 15, 1887 March 6, 1986) and was an the Statesn artist. Her family were dairy farmers. Her father name was George Victor Totto, for whom Georgia OKeeffe was named. Her family came to America in 1848. She was the second of seven OKeeffe children, and the first daughter. She attended township anteroom School in Sun Prairie. At elder of 10 she decided to become an artist and went to study at the nontextual matter Institute of Chicago in the early 1900s. by and by, objet dart alimentation in New York, she studied with such artists as William Merritt avocation as a member of the Art Students League. Later a man called Alfred Stieglitz showed her work to the public for the first clock beat in 1916 at his gallery 291. She died on March 6, 1986, in Santa Fe, Mexico. Some of her popular works from this early period include Black Iris (1926) and Oriental Poppies (1928). She used a mint of water colour in her early days.

However her renowned paintings of flowers - which represented most of her work and which brought her the most attention - were trustworthy done in oil. Her style was a unique combining of abstract and representational. She used bold colours, and often painted prairie scenes of bones, or very large canvases of just one flower.
